The European Private Equity & Venture Capital Association doesn’t just work for private equity funds and venture capitalists, we also represent those that invest in them; the Limited Partners (LPs)
The EVCA is the bridge between private equity, the General Partners (GPs) and LPs in Europe. We represent more than 100 LP members and we help get GPs and LPs talking to each other through events like the EVCA Investors’ Forum, which is being held in Geneva on 13-14 March.
The forum is an unparalleled networking opportunity and only GPs and LPs are invited.
There is a 1:1 LP/GP ratio, making it the most efficient way to meet leading global players. With an exclusive, intimate location, it is the ideal time to talk freely and frankly with managers and investors.
The majority of speakers are LPs, which gives our GP members an unrivalled insight into their appetites and allocations.
There are real time updates from the audience, which give an immediate picture of LP market sentiment as well as speakers offering unparalleled expertise throughout the event.
The forum is recognised as the best event in Europe for LPs and GPs to meet. There’s the famous rotating networking dinner and many other opportunities to make new contacts.
More than 100 LPs are full EVCA members and LPs have their own dedicated platform and council within the EVCA’s structure.
As part of the EVCA, LPs and GPs were able to agree a joint set of values for the entire private equity industry for the very first time; the EVCA Handbook of Professional Standards, which was published in December last year.
This is a historic and important step forward – both GPs and LPs now work to the same rules, instead of the group-specific codes they had before.
When LPs and GPs get together, great things can happen.
In Geneva, the EVCA wants to continue the spirit of dialogue and co-operation that created the Handbook.
